City engineer Jesse Dean told the Safety & Public Works committee that 10 contractors bid on Improvement 2408, the M Street outfall replacement, and the low bid came from Shredder Excavating at $116,141, about $38,000 below the engineer’s estimate. Per the WSB letter, staff recommended accepting the apparent low bid and awarding the contract to the successful bidder.
