Board adopts general plan amendment and waste transfer station specific plan for Mono Basin parcel
The board approved a General Plan Amendment changing a 33.65-acre Mono Basin parcel from industrial to Specific Plan (scenic combining district) and adopted a specific plan to limit industrial activity and recertified the 2022 Initial Study/Negative Declaration for the site at 7937 State Route 167.

The Mono County Board of Supervisors voted April 14 to adopt General Plan Amendment GPA 26-01, which changes the land-use designation of a 33.65-acre parcel at 7937 State Route 167 from Industrial to Specific Plan with a scenic combining district, and to adopt a corresponding waste transfer station specific plan and recertify the site's 2022 Initial Study/Negative Declaration.
