The Fuquay Varina Town Board on April 21 adopted an annexation ordinance to extend town corporate limits to include an 8.39‑acre parcel at 1210 Phelps West Road owned by Phelps West Farms LLC (ANX202602).
Planning Director Davidson presented the petition, stating the parcel is contiguous to existing corporate limits, has access to town water and sewer, adequate nearby fire flow, and a present total property value of $500,200. The town clerk certified the petition as sufficient at the April 7 meeting, and the board had set a public hearing for April 21. No members of the public spoke in favor or opposition during the hearing.
Commissioner Smith moved to adopt the annexation ordinance and Commissioner Voren seconded; the board voted in favor by voice vote and the motion passed.
Planning Director Davidson said staff is available to answer follow‑up questions and that the annexation will allow town services to extend to the property.
