Staff briefs commission on state-mandated wildland-urban interface map and implications for building standards

Planning staff reviewed a state-mapped wildland-urban interface that assigns low, moderate and high wildfire risk across Midway and explained that properties in higher-risk zones will face different building and landscaping standards and, eventually, property-based fees to fund wildfire prevention and response.
