The Putnam Development Authority voted Feb. 10 to retain Walt Rocker III as chairman, John Wojtas as vice-chairman and Patty Burns as secretary/treasurer, with each motion passing on unanimous recorded votes by the three voting members present.
The decisions maintain continuity in the authority’s leadership after a motion by Member John Wojtas to retain Rocker as chairman was seconded by Member Patty Burns and approved. Chairman Rocker then moved to retain Wojtas as vice-chairman (seconded by Member Mylle Mangum), and Member Mangum moved to retain Burns as secretary/treasurer (seconded by Member Wojtas); the motions passed with Members Burns, Mangum and Wojtas voting yea in each case.
Member Wojtas moved to nominate Member Mylle Mangum as assistant secretary/treasurer, but the motion received no second and therefore did not proceed. Attorney Kevin Brown reminded the board that the assistant secretary/treasurer "does not need to be a member of the board" and that the position was currently held by County Clerk Lynn Butterworth. The board subsequently voted to retain Lynn Butterworth as assistant secretary/treasurer on a motion by Member Patty Burns, seconded by Member Wojtas, with Members Burns, Mangum and Wojtas voting yea.
The votes were procedural and reflect the authority’s choice to preserve existing administrative arrangements. No further nominations were recorded during the meeting. The authority did not set additional governance tasks at the Feb. 10 session.
