Delaware County board approves resolutions on budget transfers, property disposition and pipeline comments
Summary
At its May meeting the board approved a package of routine resolutions (Nos. 62—72), including budget amendments and property dispositions, and adopted a resolution restating 2014 comments on the Constitution Pipeline recertification.
The Delaware County board considered and approved a series of resolutions during its regular meeting, adopting budget amendments and administrative authorizations and instructing staff to resubmit prior county comments on the Constitution Pipeline recertification.
Clerical reading and roll calls showed the board approving a set of routine items, including a 2026 budget amendment accepting funding (read in the record as from the Florida Department of Mental Health), a budget transfer for the Department of Economic Development, and authorizations for disposition of personal property from multiple departments. Several items were approved by roll call; others were carried on voice vote.
On resolution 71, staff member Shelley explained that the pipeline company has asked FERC to recertify a project originally certified in 2014. "We're really just sending on our 2014 comments again saying, we still have these concerns," Shelley said, listing county concerns about truck routes and overweight permits, road and stream crossings, wetland impacts and the depth of pipe in agricultural lands. She said the county plans to submit the 2014 comments along with updated letters from DPW, Soil and Water and Cornell Cooperative Extension.
The board approved the pipeline-resolution vote by voice, carrying the motion. The meeting concluded with approval of payment of audit (resolution 72) and a brief administrative reminder about a post-meeting gathering on the front porch.
