The report said LB 622, as introduced, would have increased documentary stamp taxes with new funds earmarked for affordable housing. The revenue committee’s amendment refocused the bill on how any earmarked funds would be distributed and reported and, in the amendment’s form, would not increase documentary stamp taxes.
