Bradley County Insurance Committee recommends continuing Cigna coverage; resolution placed on Nov. 3 agenda
Commissioners reported the Insurance Committee voted unanimously to recommend keeping Cigna for county employee health coverage despite a proposed five percent increase (about $275,000). Commissioner Tommy Ledford placed a resolution to authorize continuation of Cigna on the Nov. 3 voting-session agenda.

Commissioner Tommy Ledford reported that the county's Insurance Committee met last week and "voted unanimously to recommend continuing employee health care coverage with Cigna." He said he placed a resolution on the Nov. 3, 2025, Voting Session agenda that would authorize Mayor D. Gary Davis to continue coverage with Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company and offer four enrollment options to employees without changing current benefits.
