Commissioners review highway material bids; no awards made
The board received a single hot-mix bid (Milestone Contractors) and three liquid-asphalt bids from vendors; commissioners took the bids under advisement and made no award at the meeting.

On April 13 County Attorney James Shoaf read bids submitted for highway materials. Milestone Contractors of Columbus submitted the only hot-mix bid, with line-item per-ton prices for multiple mix types; no cold-mix bids were received. Three liquid-asphalt bids were read from Strawser Construction (dba Terry Materials), Asphalt Materials Inc., and Marathon Petroleum Co., each listing per-ton prices by product type.
