County staff member (S6) told the board the county must renew the vendor’s service and that the cost will be covered from existing funds. After a brief exchange confirming the money is available, Commissioner (S5) moved to approve the extension and S6 seconded. Chair (S1) called the vote and the motion carried unanimously.
The contract extension is intended to keep the county’s recording and archival systems in place without interruption. County officials did not specify the dollar value in the meeting discussion; staff said the increase is modest and already budgeted.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the approval and did not schedule further public hearings on the contract. The county will sign the extension and proceed with implementation under existing budget authority.
