Department staff described the proposal as owner-driven inspections rather than city inspectors performing destructive testing. Committee members asked about inspection intervals and the department said cycles would be aligned with the façade ordinance’s categories and could vary by building type. Alderman Jackson moved to recommend passage and the committee approved the item without objection.
