At the April 9 work session for the Pipestone Area School District, representatives from the SWWC Alternative Learning Center provided an overview of the center’s student support services and flexible learning options.
Cliff Carmody, Elizabeth Deen and Stephanie Strenge described programming intended to support students who benefit from alternative learning environments and responded to questions from board members about outcomes and services. The presentation was informational; the board did not take formal action in the work session record related to ALC programming.
The board’s work session earlier included routine procedural business, including approval of the meeting agenda and later adjournment. Minutes list attendees and indicate the session began at 5:15 PM and adjourned at 8:05 PM; the minutes were approved by the board on April 27, 2026.
