At the April 27 meeting the board approved personnel items that included renewal of classified nonteaching contracts and other preparations for 2026–27.
Superintendent Sawyers announced two administrator hires: Jake Lebross will join the district as assistant director for special education for grades 5–8; Lebross said he began his career in the district and is "honored to be able to come back" and looks forward to supporting students and staff. Zach Wires, hired as a high‑school assistant principal, thanked the board and district leaders and said he is excited to join the leadership team.
The board welcomed both hires in a roll call vote and anticipates publicly introducing them to their buildings and communities in the coming weeks.
