Burr Ridge authorizes up to $200,000 to update comprehensive plan, prioritizing CNH subarea

The comprehensive plan update committee recommended hiring Levine (a Chicago-based consultant) to lead a village-directed comprehensive plan update with priority given to the CNH subarea. Janine, speaking for the committee, said the recommendation followed interviews of three shortlisted consultants and requested spending authority up to $200,000; she said the anticipated contract amount was roughly $190,000 to $197,000 and that kickoff could begin in early December with CNH work prioritized. "We are requesting the up to the spending authority up to $200,000," Janine said.

Mayor Grasso explained the rationale for a village-led approach on CNH (a 110-acre site) and noted the village center is roughly 22 acres for context. After a motion and second, the board approved authorization for the village administrator to enter into the planning-services contract with spending authority not to exceed $200,000; the roll-call vote was recorded as 5'0. Janine said the committee expects the CNH subarea prioritization and initial deliverables by roughly March.
