Commission approves lot-line adjustment for Mayfair Road development; will go to Common Council

City staff presented a certified survey map (CSM) to adjust the lot line between two parcels at 2400 North Mayfair Road, saying the change is intended to create a more efficient design for future development associated with the Barrett Lowe project.
"The map depicts a slight adjustment to the lot lines between lots 1 and 5 on the attached map and is intended to create a more efficient design for future development of the site," the city staff member said. Staff also confirmed the item is scheduled for the Common Council on April 28 for final consideration.
Alder Commissioner Osmond asked whether the surrounding properties were primarily single-family residential; staff replied they were primarily single-family on the near side and multifamily on the other side of Capital. Osmond also asked whether any operations would be outdoors; the applicant said outdoor activity would be limited to a small back area and that most operations are intended to be indoors.
A commissioner moved approval subject to the three conditions listed in the staff report; Alder Phillips seconded. The commission voted unanimously to approve and to forward the CSM to the Common Council.
The Common Council will consider final approval on April 28.
