Lubbock County approves $10,000 sponsorship for Fourth on Broadway; notes Broadway construction will begin July 5
The Lubbock County Commissioners Court voted March 9 to provide $10,000 from unclaimed funds to sponsor the 2026 Fourth on Broadway festival, approved a new parade route and reminded residents that Broadway construction is scheduled to begin July 5.

Katie Sandifer, executive director and producer for this year’s Fourth on Broadway, told the Lubbock County Commissioners Court on March 9 that the event — now hosted by Civic Lubbock in partnership with Stage Lehi Productions — will include a parade, evening concerts and a fireworks show and remains a free community event.
