Wayne County supervisors review employee handbook draft, set July 1 target for final adoption

Chelsea Stoll, a consultant with Iowa Negotiation & Consulting Services, reviewed Wayne County’s employee handbook section by section at the Board of Supervisors’ May 13 work session, and recommended a series of updates for the board to consider.

The presentation, given during a morning work session convened by Chair Lance Lange, covered proposed language and procedural clarifications across the handbook. Stoll told the board she would take the supervisors’ recommendations, produce a revised draft and present it again for review before the board considers adopting a final version effective July 1, 2024. The session record does not show the board taking a formal vote on the handbook at this meeting.
