Collin County appoints first board for Emergency Services District No. 1

"This is a big step forward for us, and we thank you for being willing to serve," the presiding official said when announcing the vote. A commissioner added that there is "a lot of work ahead of them," thanking appointees for accepting the responsibilities of the board.
The court did not record additional background about each appointee at the meeting. The appointments establish the governing board the statute requires after voter approval of the new emergency services district.
