An economic-development official summarized the record for the public, saying, “Ceronic Technologies Inc has paid the filing fees, submitted four different applications for tax abatements... and for each application has asked for a variance with respect to the meets and bounds description and survey requirement.” Commissioners found the variance requests to be consistent with county guidelines and the stated goal of promoting economic development and job creation.
Commissioner Garza moved to accept and approve the request for variance; Commissioner Reese seconded. The court also approved a motion to authorize publication of the public-hearing notice at least 30 days before the March 24 public meeting. Both motions carried unanimously.
The court’s actions direct staff to publish the required public notices and place the applications on the regular court agenda for March 24, 2026, so the public may comment at that meeting.
