County staff preview OpenGov asset-management software; request for approval planned

John Chase, Grand Traverse County parks and facilities director, introduced Samantha Grabovac and Chris King of OpenGov for a product demonstration of an enterprise asset-management solution.
Chris King said the system groups assets by domain (facilities, parks, walkability, fleet) and can assign a condition score to assets, automate inspections and feed preventive-maintenance planning. “We want to be able to use this to plan for our infrastructure, rather than being reactive,” King said.
