Lake County, Leadville coordinate to adopt Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code on March 17
Staff said county and city staffs are aligning adoption of the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code; the county will present a resolution to the Board of County Commissioners on March 17 while the city moved the ordinance to second reading to meet an April 1 state deadline.

County staff reported that it has referred the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code to the county attorney and plans to place a resolution before the Board of County Commissioners for adoption on March 17. City staff confirmed the city completed a first reading of the same model code and will take it to second reading on March 17 so that both jurisdictions remain on the same schedule.
