Deputy Director of Children & Youth Mandy Noss noted April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and announced an event for children on April 30, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Juniata Elementary School.
The board adopted two proclamations: Proclamation No. 2026-3, designating April 26–May 2, 2026 as Conservation District Week, and Proclamation No. 2026-4, designating April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. Both measures passed unanimously.
The commissioners ratified Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-IDIS) payment #1370 to Mid Atlantic Storage Systems, Inc. for $172,279.00 as submitted by the Planning and Community Development Department.
