The Fayette County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 5, 2026, unanimously adopted the Annual Appropriation Resolution and approved a series of interfund transfers, advances and appropriation changes to fund county operations for the fiscal period.
Commissioner Donald L. Fleak moved to adopt the Annual Appropriation Resolution; Commissioner James D. Garland seconded the motion. The board recorded a unanimous roll call vote by Commissioners Tony Anderson, James D. Garland and Donald L. Fleak.
Separately, the board approved appropriation modifications that moved $5,000 into Airport — Fees and $600 from Information Technology Equipment to Information Technology Travel. It authorized advances of $59,821.24 from an Adena Fayette PERS fund to the Commissioners’ advance in account and $5,313.52 from the General Fund Transfer to the HUD Grant Bluegrass advance in account.
The board approved multiple transfers from the General Fund Transfer: $27,250 to Dog & Kennel; $37,337.50 each to Senior Nutrition and Commission on Aging; $28,809 to EMA/HLS; $829 to LEPC; and $2,400 to the Economic Development Office. Commissioners also approved an additional appropriation of $45,000 to MVGT — Roads (Equipment).
The board certified the total amount from all sources available for expenditures to the County Auditor pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.36 and adopted the annual appropriation resolution under ORC Section 5705.38. The motions and votes were recorded in the meeting minutes and carried by unanimous roll call.
Next procedural steps: the certified appropriation documents were placed on file with the board and with the County Auditor as required by statute.
