Pittsburg County commissioners approve routine contracts, appointments and administrative changes

At the March 23 meeting the Pittsburg County Board of Commissioners voted on several routine administrative items.
Contracts and procurement: Commissioners approved a renewal maintenance contract between Miller Office Equipment and the County Clerk’s office (proposal in the packet lists a monthly rate of $168.71 and covered meter/overage information). The board also approved motions cancelling Purchase Order 8035 (District 3, Broken Arrow Electric Supply) and Purchase Order 7881 (District 1, Rush Truck Center).
Appointments and administrative updates: The board approved Amended Resolution 26-207 appointing Danny Haynes (District 2) and re-appointing Shannon Stacey (District 3) to the Pittsburg County Free Fair Board; the District 1 seat remains vacant. The board approved Resolution 26-220 (changing requisitioning officer for Hartshorne Fire Department) and Resolution 26-222 (adding a receiving officer for District 2/highway sales tax). Executive session and personnel: The board voted to enter executive session to perform a personnel performance evaluation for Expo Center employee Raymond Orr under Oklahoma Statutes, Title 25 § 307.B.1. The board later returned to open session; the minutes record no formal employment action in open session.
Bid opening and surplus sale: During the 10:00 a.m. bid opening for Bid No. 16 (1973 Ford L915 Snorkel Tanker), the board opened a single bid from Dennis McMath for $555 and voted to accept the bid as opened and postpone for review.
Votes: All the listed motions and resolutions recorded in the minutes passed unanimously (AYE: Ross Selman, Mike Haynes, Charlie Rogers; NAY: none).
Next steps: Resolutions will be filed according to county procedure and the clerk’s office will record officer changes. The surplus-bid review will be handled by staff and brought back to the board as needed.
