Fayette County commissioners approve bills, transfers and routine resolutions; list major votes

The motion to pay the bills was moved by Commissioner James D. Garland and seconded by Commissioner Donald L. Fleak.
The board approved a set of fiscal adjustments: an appropriation reclassification related to a HUD grant ($30,100), an advance of $33,840 into the HUD Grant Bluegrass fund, and transfers of $22,500 to Dog & Kennel, $36,250 to Senior Nutrition, $36,250 to Commission on Aging and a transfer of $705,689.08 from the Adult Detention Operating Levy to Jail Operating. Additional appropriations approved included $10,000 for sanitary sewer contract services and $51,000 for jail contract services; a small American Rescue Plan Act equipment appropriation of $387.19 was also adopted. All motions were moved and seconded and carried on recorded roll calls.
The board acknowledged an agreement with the Montgomery County Coroner's Office to provide autopsy services at $1,850 per case, accepted a lease for a Kyocera mz4001i copier for the Clerk of Courts (36 months at $243 per month, 4,000 B/W copies included, $0.007 per overage), and adopted a resolution allowing the Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services to participate in Ohio's Cooperative Purchasing program under ORC Section 125.04.
A long vendor bid listing and several vendor payments across the county's general, jail, airport, water and sanitary funds were recorded in the minutes.
