Commissioners approve consent package, opioid-program MOU and grant application

The Board of Allen County Commissioners unanimously approved multiple routine and programmatic resolutions during its Feb. 5, 2026 general session, including financial transfers, procurement updates and agreements to support opioid recovery efforts.
The board approved a consent agenda that included Resolution #76-26 authorizing a warrant of transfer from the General Fund to the 911 Systems Fund, Resolution #77-26 for a supplemental appropriation to the General Fund, travel expense reimbursements, “then and now” purchase-order approvals and updates to county credit-card policies and monthly credit-card estimates. The commissioners also accepted the resignation of Deputy Dog Warden Seth Wright and declared certain Job and Family Services property obsolete and eligible for sale.
Commissioners voted to approve Resolution #74-26, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board to provide opioid recovery programming, and an updated procurement plan for the Department of Job and Family Services (Resolution #75-26). The board also authorized submission of a grant application to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for the Opioid Remediation Grant (referenced in the agenda as Resolution #63-26A). All listed motions were adopted by roll call with no recorded opposing votes.
The approvals were routine and took place at the start of the meeting. No contested or divided votes were recorded on the motions described. The board noted additional budget discussion items scheduled later in the day and that commissioners would attend an afternoon Farm Bureau lunch.
