Assistant clerk updates commissioners on upcoming BWC trial and CORSA program materials

Assistant Clerk Sofia A. Clifton briefed the Board of Allen County Commissioners on staff preparations at the 9:41 a.m. staff update.
Clifton said a Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) trial has been scheduled to start March 16, 2026, and she estimated the proceeding would run three to four days. She said she has been working with the county's attorney from the firm Bugbee & Conkle to prepare for the trial and that she will provide updates to the board as more information becomes available.
Clifton also said she is awaiting documentation and program materials from CORSA on a Loss Control Incentive and Bonus Program; once CORSA provides the materials, she said she will begin work to implement the program for county consideration.
No action or vote was taken during the Feb. 10 session on either the trial or the CORSA program; Clifton presented the status and next steps for staff follow-up.
