City Manager Frank Martz told the Altamonte Springs City Commission on March 3 that the City does not have a timeline for FEMA reimbursements for past hurricane work because a partial federal government shutdown and staffing reductions at FEMA have limited the agency’s ability to process claims. He said that uncertainty complicates budgeting for storm-recovery costs and that any reduction in tax revenue would further hamper the City's ability to recover costs.
