Board roundup: agenda changes, two rezoning hearings and routine financial approvals

The King County Board Commission convened on May 7 and approved several routine and procedural items, held public hearings on two rezoning requests, took financial actions and adjourned.

Early in the meeting the chair proposed three agenda changes — adding a public hearing on a rezoning request at Ivy Bluff Road, a hearing on a request for 10950 Jim Cummings Highway, and moving discussion of a possible contract with Stryker Corporation for ambulance equipment onto the agenda. On financial business the commission approved payment VA‑25‑26‑17 and a set of bills listed as Bill 8‑25/26 numbers 11–13; the finance report noted funds were within budget. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn passed.

Several items added to this meeting — including the possible contract with Stryker Corporation for ambulance equipment — were placed on the agenda for discussion but were not the focus of extended debate at this session.
