The district requested a $9,000 increase in county support for fiscal 2026–27 — a proposed budget of $40,000 — to cover program delivery and staff costs (health insurance and retirement for two staff positions were listed in the request). Commissioners thanked the presenters and asked a few clarifying questions about outreach, program impact and budget timing; members received the presentation and were invited to the district’s April 16 banquet and Earth Day activities.
The court did not make a formal appropriation on March 24; the district’s budget request will be considered in the county’s standard budget review process.
