Hancock County commissioners approve routine resolutions, create Probate Court AOT fund

Commissioners also approved a travel request from the sheriff’s office and a motion authorizing Commissioner Jeff Hunker to sign an attestation form for the county landfill.
Among formal actions, the board adopted Resolution #239-26, authorizing payment of listed purchase orders, and Resolution #240-26, an additional appropriation into Severance Fund #2136, each approved 3-0 after motions by Bateson and seconds by Bechtol. Clerk Cindy Land presented Resolution #241-26 to establish a new fund titled “Probate Court Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program Fund”; the board approved the measure 3-0.
Phil Johnson presented Resolution #242-26 to authorize Change Order #1 with Wentling Electrical Service, LLC for electrical installation and preparatory work to extend security measures to a communications tower near the Hancock County BMV Building on County Road 140. The change order adds $2,725.66, bringing the amended contract total to $23,982.26; the resolution passed 3-0. The board asked Johnson to invite Brian Stozich to a future meeting to discuss project parameters.
The board also approved Resolution #243-26, authorizing solicitation of bids for interior and exterior improvements to the Hancock County Office Building at 401 Olive Street in Findlay. Commissioners approved the bid solicitation 3-0 and did not identify additional substantive debate on the item at the meeting.
All motions recorded in the minutes were adopted unanimously (3-0). The board scheduled follow-up on the communications-tower work and the Office Building bidding process; Phil Johnson will arrange for Brian Stozich to discuss project details with the commissioners.
