Antonio, the county staff lead on payroll conversion, told the board the county is working with Dominion to transition to electronic timekeeping and e‑payment and that the first cycle will require an early close of the books. He said the county is aiming for an April 1 implementation with the first affected pay in May and warned that "that first time that we do this, we'll have to close the books a week early, and so folks will be missing a week of payment."
