Jay County approves $30,500 appropriation to help fairboard complete electrical work

The association reported it had secured $30,500 toward the project (a $20,000 grant from Cooper Farms and $10,500 from the annual giving campaign) and requested the county fund the remaining $30,500.
Commissioner Doug Horn moved to approve an additional appropriation of $30,500 from the Economic Development—Windfarm fund; Chad Aker seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commissioners recorded the appropriation and asked staff to track the project timeline so the work could be completed before the fair, as requested by the Fairboard.
