County staff alerted the board to an advertised mining permit (S-00366-4) from Alcoa Fuels seeking to continue highwall mining under Boonville-New Harmony Road and to mine under Bateman Road. The staff memo and advertisement were available in the public library; the board was told there is a 30-day comment window from the last advertisement date.
