The Board approved locations for two Dust and Wonder Trail spike sculptures in Douglas County on April 2, 2026, selecting Dangberg Home Ranch and Carson Valley Cinemas as the county-hosted sites for the regional public-art project. The project envisions 31 total sculptures across multiple jurisdictions, including 27 smaller spikes (roughly 53 inches tall), three 12-foot pieces and a feature 69-foot spike planned for the Nevada State Railroad Museum.
