Apache Junction library board adopts updated program and behavior policies

The director said staff will re-educate patrons, update signage and post the revised policy on the library website.
The changes follow a routine librarian report in which Harrison highlighted successful outreach: recent offsite programming (including a rodeo appearance with an estimated 300 attendees), a constitutional discussion that drew 53 people, and the Heart of AJ art show that brought about 120 visitors. A public commenter, Elsie West of 840 North Idaho, thanked staff for service, praising an employee named Lisa as "professional and courteous and knowledgeable and patient." Harrison also previewed upcoming events including a STEM expo, a studio open house and Library Con 2026, as well as a reading garden project now under construction.
