Wayne County committee appoints IT division director, approves three IT contract renewals

The Wayne County Government Operations Committee voted to appoint Jamal Anjami as division director of the Technology Experience Division and approved two IT contract addenda during its meeting.
Roman, chief information officer for the Wayne County Department of Information Technology, introduced Jamal Anjami and said the county expects the new director to improve service delivery to county employees. Anjami told the committee he has “over 25 years of experience,” including previous work for Wayne County, a district court IT transformation and recent work with the Indiana state health department.
Commissioners asked about the scope of Anjami’s division and his technical background. Roman said the Technology Experience Division houses the service desk, technical trainers, business advocates who liaise with county departments, and a records-management position. Commissioner Wilson asked specifically about Oracle experience; Anjami said he has supported JD Edwards and other financial systems but not Oracle, and Roman clarified Oracle belongs to a different IT division.
Separately, the committee approved an addendum to a one-year cooperative agreement with CDW Government LLC for BlueVoyant managed detection and response services. Brian Hayes, division director of computing and infrastructure, said BlueVoyant provides continuous ingestion and analysis of system logs, raises behavioral flags (for example, unusual sign-in locations) and can take limited remedial actions such as removing tokens and resetting passwords on the county’s behalf. Hayes said the county has used the service for a year and staff recommended extension.
The committee also approved a one-year addendum with Kerasoft Technology Corporation to continue DocuSign Enterprise Pro with Premier support. Greg Boss, division director for enterprise applications, said DocuSign is integrated with Oracle Fusion and is used across contract processing, the treasurer’s office and other departments to provide auditable, trackable digital signatures.
Each item was moved and carried by the committee. The appointments and contract renewals now move to the next procedural step for finalization per county practice.
