Coach asks for recognition for trapshooting program; board hears update on participation and practices

"I didn't come here to ask for money, don't get me wrong, but financially would be greatly appreciated," Favor said, adding that the program had raised funds through T-shirt sales and sponsorships to cover range fees and travel in the past. He asked whether the district had made plans for recognition similar to other activities (lettering, acknowledgment) and invited board members to visit practices, which are open to parents and community members.
Board members asked questions about current sign-ups and fundraising; Favor said he had five signed-up participants so far for the upcoming season and provided the board with an emailed expense rundown that had been shared with board members prior to the meeting.
No formal funding motion was presented; the board thanked Favor and noted it would follow up with staff if further assistance were requested.
