The City Commission appointed Cheyenne Lucander to a vacancy on the Development Review Board on May 7. Lucander, who moved to Gainesville three and a half years ago and is pursuing graduate study in urban and regional planning, told commissioners she is committed to equity and justice in land‑use decisions.
