The Bay County Board of Commissioners Committee of the Whole on April 7 approved a series of routine contracts, grants and procurements, and authorized a request for proposals to hire consultants to develop a county Materials Management Plan.
Most items were approved by unanimous voice vote with little or no discussion. Approvals included purchases and vendor agreements for ADA-compliance software; sheriff grants for traffic enforcement; a BCBS inmate services contract; a MCOLES continuing professional education pilot program; Byrne Justice Community Project funding; multiple school resource officer (SRO) agreements for Pinconning Area Schools, Bangor Township and a countywide SRO agreement; mosquito-control scrap-tire cleanup funding; and an RFQ for Medical Examiner services. The board also received finance items, including a General Fund equity analysis and an update on Executive Directive 2007-11.
