The Administration & Finance Committee on April 6 voted to forward to the village board a request to authorize bidding for the 2026 pavement maintenance program.
Village Engineer Chris told the committee staff is targeting a June 1 contract award and summarized the work to be included: patching at Velocity, repairs at Meer Pond, patching at Dixon's Pines, repaving of a front parking lot (to be paid from a different fund), work on a couple of streets in Hawks View (previous alternates) and resurfacing in Rston South subdivision. Chris said staff included alternate streets in the bid package in case favorable prices allow additional work.
Staff recommended authorization to advertise bids; the committee voted to forward resolution 29R26 with a positive recommendation to the board for final approval.
