RDC approves bill of sale documenting tenant‑left office furniture

The Redevelopment Commission approved Resolution 2622 on April 6 authorizing a bill of sale and assignment for office furniture and equipment vacated by a tenant described in the resolution exhibits.
Staff said the departed tenant left a variety of office fixtures and equipment (desks, overhead cabinets, televisions and other items) and that the RDC currently holds title to those items. Staff outlined disposition options — reutilization in city offices, transfer to another government entity, transfer to a 501(c)(3), resale on the open market, or surplusing — and noted that the bill of sale documents the RDC’s receipt and ownership so the former tenant no longer carries liability.
A public commenter suggested the city offer items to the general public. Commissioners approved the resolution by voice vote.
Next steps: Staff will determine disposition strategy for items of value and handle surplus procedures as appropriate.
