Elbert County OKs two road‑acceptance resolutions and appoints library trustee

Elbert County Public Works Director Monty Henkins recommended the board accept roads from previously approved subdivision improvement agreements. "I'm recommending today that you move forward on these two action items with accepting these roads," Henkins said, referring to Spring Valley Ranch filing five (phase one) and the Independent subdivision filings.
The board moved, seconded and voted unanimously to approve a resolution accepting Spring Valley Ranch filing five roads for asphalt maintenance only, and to approve a second resolution accepting filing two and three, areas one and two of the Independent subdivision, for full county road maintenance. Commissioners recorded the motions and said "I" during the roll call; the clerk announced the motions carried.
On a separate motion, the board appointed Ruth Anne Stricker to the Pines and Plains Library Board of Trustees after commissioners described a recent visit to the library and praised Stricker’s engagement.
All three actions were approved unanimously during the meeting and require no further immediate county action beyond implementation of standard SIA (Subdivision Improvement Agreement) provisions and administrative follow-up.
