County IT reports sharp drop in Odyssey conversion errors; OCA productivity reports reconciled

Dallas County court-IT staff told commissioners on Feb. 9 that the county has made significant progress fixing conversion errors from the Odyssey rollout and reconciling court productivity reporting.
IT staff said they activated Odyssey's custom business rules (CBR) to impose correct data-entry sequences and that doing so prevented new invalid entries. After proactive cleanup work, staff reported they had reduced conversion 'invalids' from tens of thousands to approximately 5,269 and they moved up an internal target from June to a hoped-for completion in April.
The county also reviewed OCA (Office of Court Administration) productivity measures with judges' offices, reconciled counting rules for pending cases and actions, and posted corrected reports; IT staff said the reconciled numbers compare to other counties and that they provided judges with the underlying data set used for the reconciliation.
Next steps: IT staff will continue cleanup work on remaining invalids, complete outstanding billing and 4D-case work with business analysts, and follow up on any outstanding requests from judges' offices about OCA reporting.
