"The commitment is contingent upon Wood County adopting a corresponding resolution to provide a matching annual contribution of $25,000," Casperson said, and payments would be made annually on or before May 1.
A motion to recommend approval was made and seconded; the committee voted in favor and the motion carried. The fairgrounds commission had previously approved the resolution at its January meeting, subject to city, county and state fair association approvals.
