Amy Guidry, representing Acadian Ambulance, gave the service’s March report: 773 total calls, including 603 emergency and 170 non-emergency calls, and a parish-wide average response time of 14:53. Guidry also announced upcoming EMR classes on May 8 and June 1 for EMTs and recounted a first-responder event in Hessmer held April 1 that drew police and fire departments and students; she said the ambulance service hopes to make that an annual event.
Both delegations were brief and informational; jurors thanked the speakers and moved into the business portion of the agenda.
