Road & Bridge staff told commissioners that the 2026 Rio Blanco County chip-seal project for Rangely came in about $222,000 over the planned $1.5 million budget. Staff said the county planned to chip-seal 34.46 miles in Rangely this year; mobilization economics mean it made sense to do the full scope at once rather than splitting work across mobilizations.
