District outlines language-accessibility improvements and interpreter resources

Staff said they will convene stakeholders in the near term to gather input specifically about serving Spanish-speaking and bilingual families; the packet also lists resources for Russian, Ukrainian and American Sign Language.
Board member Nancy urged staff to place translation and interpretation information at the top of public-facing materials so families can easily find access information. Administrators noted they will also provide training for families to use any new devices and continue partnership conversations with ESD and community stakeholders.
