Board narrows public naming input for new high school; several members back 'Rangeland'
After a public naming process that produced more than 1,100 responses and roughly 700 unique name suggestions, several board members said they favor a non-person geographic name. A number of trustees expressed support for 'Rangeland' (Ranchland/Rangeland variant); staff will prepare the item for action at a future board meeting.

The district presented the results of a public naming process for its new high school during the April 14 workshop. Staff reported more than 1,100 submissions and roughly 700 unique suggestions collected from students, families and community members.
