Perry City announced approval of a state DOT RISE grant for roughly $5 million to fund a 141 intersection improvement and the paving of Sumus Avenue; design work for Sumus Avenue will begin immediately and staff aim to move the project through grants and procurement to construction.

City Administrator Finn told the Perry City Council that the Iowa DOT Transportation Commission approved the city’s RISE grant application for roughly $5 million to pay for improvements at the 141 intersection and to pave Sumus Avenue.
